Everyone has a different driving style. Would you be surprised to find that how – as much as what – you drive can tell a lot about you? Happy people tend to drive faster than those who are morose or depressed. Look below and figure out which driver are you?
The Aggressive Driver
You are driving on his roads. He’ll pass on the shoulder, constantly switch lanes, speed up a half-block from a yellow light. The entitled driver it tough on brakes, easy on turn signals and his reckless driving causes everyone else around him to fear for their lives. The entitled driver often zooms around in an SUV, preferably a black Hummer.
Distracted Driver
This driver won’t let the fact that she’s behind the wheel interrupt her plans. She’s putting on makeup, talking on her phone and smoking a cigarette all at the same time. If she’s a mom, then she’s reviewing homework, screaming at a child and wiping up vomit all at the same time. Distracted Mom drives a minivan, a crossover or a small SUV. The non-mom drives a Pontiac Grand Am.
Mental Vacation Driver
He’s not doing anything else. He’s not talking on his phone, or eating carryout or running his electric razor over this morning’s stubble. Yet, somehow, he can’t pay attention to the road. There’s no passenger to distract him, yet he bounces between the lines of his lane like a pinball. He changes lanes without looking and can’t maintain a constant speed. This guy loves small SUVs like the Jeep Liberty and the Chevy Equinox.

The “My Bad” Driver
She’s kind of half-paying attention to the road. She doesn’t move when the light turns green and you end up sitting through an entire light. She swings around and takes the parking space you were waiting for. She stops in the middle of the street just to test your patience. And then she waves, or makes an “oops” gesture, or shrugs her shoulders as if to say, “My bad.” I don’t know what she drives and neither does she.
Sticker Shock Driver
You’ve seen his vehicle – the rear end is covered to within an inch of it’s life with bumper stickers. You immediately know his political affiliation, how many children he has, what he does for a living, how he feels about unions, his religion and his favorite hobbies. The specialized sticker shock driver is an advocate for the GLBT community – a female driven-Subaru with equality and rainbow stickers, with at least 1 oversized dog in the backseat.
Ghost Driver
All you see is the steering wheel. The car is going at least 20 mph under the speed limit. The car is older than you are yet is in better condition than your car. The average odometer reading is in the 20,000-mile range. As you move to pass, you see a tuft of blue above that steering wheel and feel bad for cussing out someone’s grandma. Grandma doesn’t usually come out a rush hour and she’s just as frustrated as you are. She’s driving a Buick, a Chrysler or and Oldsmobile and she paid less for it than you pay for rent each month.
