When you imagine the average car thief, you probably don’t picture a 1994 Honda Accord. The data that came out in 2011 (all cars stolen over 2010) showed thieves have a penchant for stealing older models.

In 2011, some of the most popular vehicles with car thieves included the 1991 Toyota Camry, the 1995 Honda Civic and the 1994 Honda Accord. Many vehicles manufactured in the U.S. also made the list, including the Ford F-150, the Ford Explorer, the Dodge Caravan and the Dodge Ram. Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs were also popular.
